Are you waiting to buy an EV because you are concerned about the impact of the batteries? Wait no longer!

Batteries pose a challenge and an opportunity when it comes to their disposal. The batteries contain valuable minerals that can be recovered and reused in new batteries. The challenge is in that recovery process.

Mercedes-Benz has just opened a new facility that allows for 96% of EV batteries to be recycled and used in new batteries. And the process they use is less energy intensive and produces less waste.

With the growth in EVs continuing, as close to 25% of new cars sold globally are electric, battery recycling is important to help contain costs and reduce the impact on the planet. This facility will be followed by many more like it, greatly reducing the negative issues with EV batteries.
